The Goal is Love – Overview
What would you say is the point of studying Scripture? Why do we learn what we learn from God’s word?
- knowledge?
- wisdom?
- insight?
Yes, all these are important. However, the Apostle Paul says in 1 Timothy 1:5 that “the goal of our instruction is love that comes from a pure heart, a good conscience, and a sincere faith.”
We study to love.
We learn the Scriptures to love.
