Our mission is first, first, first…

NOT first, second, third. What does this mean?

In Acts 1:8, Jesus says…

“You will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come on you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” In this, Jesus was NOT saying, “go to Jerusalem, then to Judea and Samaria, and finally to the end of the earth”, as if one followed the other. No, He was saying go to all these places simultaneously.  The commission is to go everywhere, all the time, until He returns.

Never forget:

• Our mission is first, first, first; NOT first, second, third.
• Our mission is empowered by the Holy Spirit (“you will receive power…”)
• Our primary mission is to tell others what we know about Jesus Christ (“you will be my witnesses…”)
