There are four facets of sanctification…

1. Pre-salvation Sanctification (we are set apart by God from the foundation of the world)
2. Positional Sanctification (we are immediately made holy in God’s eyes at the moment of our salvation)
3. Progressive Sanctification (*this is what we are experiencing and doing every day, the “rubber meets the road” life of the Christian)
4. Ultimate Sanctification (when we are with Christ for all eternity)
