Frontline Youth Ministries of South Hill Bible Church are for students in grades 5-12. The name is representative of us being at the frontline of God’s work in the lives of today’s youth. It is our hope that those involved in the Frontline will become firmly grounded in their faith, have a greater desire to know God and to make Him known, and begin to experience the great and exciting adventure of the Christian life – Christ’s life living in and through us!

Philosophy of Youth Ministry

The youth ministry philosophy is driven by “loving God and loving people”. This philosophy originates from Mark 12:30-21:

‘And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.

We strongly believe in building meaningful relationships, and equipping youth with the resources and knowledge to grow in their personal relationship with God.

Bible Classes

We offer a variety of other weekly Sunday Morning Bible Classes at 8:45am for all ages.

For more events at South Hill Bible Church, visit our Events page.

G1 Youth meet every other Sunday evening at 6pm (see youth calendar for times), and is led by a high-school and college leadership team. Grades 5-9 participate in fun games, ice breakers, worship, and listen to teaching from God’s Word.

We believe in building personal, long-term, mentor-type relationships that connect the youth in a meaningful one-on-one way with a student leader.

The Student Leadership Team Ministry provides ministry opportunities for Juniors and Seniors in High School to assist the youth pastor with organization, set-up, take down & clean-up, greeting & hospitality, intentional communication, games, worship, and teaching with the G1 Youth (grades 5-9th).

Nut Night is a fun-filled night on every third Friday of the month for kids grades 6-8 during the school year. A typical Nut Night usually involves a pizza dinner, fun games, a message, delicious desert, and crazy food-eating contests!

Hunger Busters, a door-to-door canned-good collection effort to feed the homeless in Spokane.

While neighbors are expecting a visit from trick-or-treaters at their door on October 31st, youth and college students from Frontline Youth Ministry go door-to-door on Spokane’s South Hill asking for canned good donations for Hunger Busters! All canned goods received are donated to the Union Gospel Mission.

Hunger Busters has been and continues to be a vital part of Frontline Youth Ministry for over 10 years.

Frontline Youth in High School have the opportunity to go on foreign and domestic Youth Mission trips.

We desire to give all students and opportunity to go on a short-term missions trip before they graduate high school to gain a passion for world missions and experience the life of a foreign missionary.

Realizing that we too are on the mission field, we have designed a two-pronged domestic missions trip by 1) partnering with the Union Gospel Mission to run both a summer and winter camp annually for 50+ children ages 8-11 from a local grade school 2) running a week-long Vacation Bible School (VBS) for the children in a out-of-state, rural community.
