NEW TIMES! AWANA meets on Wednesday nights from 6:15-8:00pm! Trek & Journey meets on Monday nights from 6:30-8:30pm.

The acronym AWANA comes from the first letters of the phrase “Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed” (2 Timothy 2:15). Founded in 1950, the AWANA ministry is:

  • An international, non-denominational Bible-centered children’s and youth ministry.
  • Committed to the evangelism and discipleship of children and youth.
  • Effective at getting the gospel into the homes of unsaved families
  • Focused on missions.

The AWANA ministry embraces five principles:

  1. AWANA is centered on the gospel.
  2. Scripture memory is a key element.
  3. AWANA is exciting and fun.
  4. Children and youth are trained to serve.
  5. AWANA is built on volunteer leadership.

If you have a question and answer that is not asked and answered in this section, please contact us below.

An AWANA Club meeting consist of three main parts:

  • Game Time, with team competition and lots of fun.
  • Large Group Time, with Bible lesson and music.
  • Handbook Time, with Scripture memorization where the children earn achievements and awards.

In addition, other activities, such a Bible Quiz, AWANA Grand Prix, Sparks-a-Rama, AWANA Games and a week-long Summer Camp are a part of the AWANA Program. These are all important aspects of our AWANA Club.

Trained adult volunteers work in all of our clubs. All volunteers go through a background check. We require that all volunteers go through AWANA Orientation & Training. In addition, youth who aspire to serve others as a Student Leader in AWANA can be involved.

We ask that all clubbers pay dues of $35.00 per year. We also ask that you pay for the full year at the beginning of the year, if possible. The dues are used to pay for awards that the clubbers earn, for their handbook and uniform, and for incentives for the clubbers throughout the year.

Please note: We want all clubbers to be able to have the books and uniforms. If the cost of these would impose a financial hardship on your family, call the AWANA Commander or talk to any of the Directors (see below). Financial help is available.

  4. You endeavor to present an attractive attitude to the kids by exhibiting patience and are gentle but firm in your standards.
